Common causes

• Old mount not compatible with new unit
• No dedicated switch or air switch
• Drain plumbing not reworked for the new outlet height
• Sink flange leaking on install

Step-by-step

1. 01Cut power at the breaker and disconnect any existing disposal
2. 02Install the mounting flange with fresh plumber's putty
3. 03Wire to a wall switch or install an air switch through the counter
4. 04Plumb the outlet to the P-trap — dishwasher knockout removed if applicable
